Responsible for assisting aquatic staff with implementing a high quality recreational program for individuals with or without disabilities through a variety of structured aquatic classes. Ensuring the safety of facility participants by preventing and responding to emergencies.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED). Two (2) years of professional experience in a public pool setting. Experience working with the developmentally disabled preferred but not required. Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
Certifications: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training, American Red Cross First Aid, American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, American Red Cross Preventing Disease Transmission, American Red Cross Automated External Defibrillation (AED), American Red Cross Title 22, American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Arthritis Foundation YMCA Aquatic Program Instructor Certification (can be obtained during the first three months of employment).
