The Community Integration Training Coach will provide services and training focused on children, adolescents and adults who have developmental disabilities, and their family members. Will assist clients, their family members, and individuals from the community, in developing and accessing resources that promote and sustain mental health, competency and protective coping strategies that enhance their ability to survive and thrive in their lives and endeavors. Some responsibilities include, but not limited to: Provide supervision and oversight of all consumers in the program at all times. Assist in the preparation of initial assessments and service delivery plans for caregivers and consumers as needed. Assist in status meetings and implement adjustments to service delivery plan as needed. Conduct special internet searches to help caregivers and consumers locate information they need related to helping consumers maximize their independence. Will be responsible for supporting and training a caseload of developmentally disabled consumers in a variety of areas, including but not limited to money management, meal planning with preparation, vocational, independent skills, training to consumers in the utilization of public transportation services and community safety.
Qualifications: BA or AA degree in Humanities or social services related field preferred. Minimum one year experience or training or a combination of education and experience in the field of human services. Previous working experience with the developmentally delayed population highly preferred. Effective communication skills, both written and oral; ability to present in front of group. Must be certified in First Aid and CPR. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Salary: $18 - $21/hour
